Welcome to Our Pub/Restaurant, Where Good Times and Good Food Come Together.
The only pub in Cark and Flookburgh not tied to a brewery.

The Engine Inn is open after our re-furbishment  New booking system for our 5 fully refurbished rooms coming very soon.
Please email or telephone to book rooms. Limited availability for bank holiday, booking now for Holker Festival, Steam Gathering, Lowther Horse trials(at Holker) and Cartmel Races.

Chris and Karen welcome you to this family run 17th Century traditional inn. On the southern tip of the Lake District
Relax by a cosy log fire and enjoy a pint of our Cask Marque guest ales or a glass of fine wine prior to having a meal in the bar or our restaurant and perhaps plan your next day’s activities.
Lake Windermere, Haverthwaite Steam Railway,DUCKY PARK FARM  and SKY DIVE NORTH WEST Flookburgh Airfield  are a short drive away. We are well placed for visiting The Lake District National Park. You can find lots of brochures for the local attractions situated in the bar. Cark and Cartmel Railway Station is a couple of minutes walk and Lakeland Holiday Park a very short drive or walk away. Walkers and Ramblers welcome.
